Kashmir White Granite — a Calm, Light Granite for Bright Kitchens
Kashmir White is an off-white Indian granite with a fine grey speckle and small burgundy garnet dots. Despite the name it is quarried in southern India, not Kashmir. We supply it from about $120–$175 per m² incl. GST, roughly half what similar light granites cost at Australian yards.
Our slab price $120–175/m²
Typical AU yard (est.) $240–350/m²
AUD incl. GST · 20 mm polished slab material · about 50% below typical Australian stone-yard prices · imported to order, 6–10 weeks
What Kashmir White looks like
Kashmir White gives a bright, airy benchtop with a fine, quiet texture. From across the room it reads as soft white; up close you see grey mica speckle and scattered deep-red garnets. It brightens north-facing or narrow kitchens where a dark stone would close the room in.
It is softer-looking and more porous than the dark Indian granites, so we supply it pre-sealed on request and explain how to keep it white.

Where Kashmir White works best
Small and dark kitchens
A light granite bounces daylight around a galley or apartment kitchen. Kashmir White costs far less than white quartz of the same size and has no resin to yellow in sunlight.
Laundries and butler's pantries
Its even pattern makes offcuts easy to match, so the main kitchen slabs can stretch to a laundry or pantry bench as well.
Wall cladding and window sills
Thin polished Kashmir White makes a clean window sill or wall panel indoors.
Kashmir White compared
- Kashmir White vs Viscount White
Viscount White has bold grey waves; Kashmir White is the calm, speckled option and usually cheaper.
- Kashmir White vs Steel Grey
If you want low maintenance above all, Steel Grey hides spills that Kashmir White would show.
Care and sealing
Seal at install and every 12 months on kitchen tops. Avoid leaving oil bottles, turmeric or coffee on unsealed stone. Use pH-neutral cleaners only; bleach can yellow light stones over time.
Pairs well with
White and greige cabinets, light timber, chrome or brushed nickel, pale terrazzo floors.
