Viscount White Granite — the Marble Look, Granite Toughness
Viscount White is a white-and-grey Indian granite with flowing, wave-like veins that give a marble look on a much harder stone. We supply slabs from about $115–$250 per m² incl. GST, compared with Australian yard prices of roughly $229–$506 per m² incl. GST.
Our slab price $115–250/m²

What Viscount White looks like
Viscount White is for people who love the movement of Carrara or Calacatta but cook too much to live with marble. Bands of charcoal and dove grey swirl across a white base, sometimes with tiny burgundy garnet dots. No two slabs are the same, which is the appeal.
Because the pattern varies so much, you choose your actual slabs. We photograph each slab in a bundle with its number, so you can pick the ones whose movement suits your island or splashback before anything ships.

Where Viscount White works best
Hamptons and coastal kitchens
Leathered Viscount White with white shaker cabinets and brass hardware is a staple of Australian coastal renovations. It gives the soft grey veining of marble without the etching from lemon or wine.
Bookmatched splashbacks and walls
Consecutive slabs from one block can be bookmatched so the waves mirror across a join, for a feature splashback or a fireplace wall.
Bathrooms
Honed Viscount White makes a calm vanity top and shower niche. Seal it well, as it is more porous than dark granites.
Viscount White compared
- Viscount White vs Kashmir White
Kashmir White is quieter: a fine speckle instead of waves. Choose Viscount White for movement and Kashmir White for a calm, even look.
- Viscount White vs Steel Grey
Steel Grey is darker, more uniform and more stain-proof if you need something low-maintenance.
Care and sealing
Seal at install with an impregnating sealer and reseal every 1–2 years. Wipe up turmeric, oil and red wine promptly: light granites can mark if spills sit overnight on unsealed stone.
Pairs well with
White or soft-green cabinets, brushed brass or aged bronze tapware, light oak floors, linen tones.

Viscount White granite questions
Straight answers on price, finishes, sealing and shipping.
01 Is Viscount White granite or marble?
It is sold as granite and is geologically a gneiss, a hard metamorphic rock. It looks like a marble with grey waves but resists scratches, heat and acid far better than marble.
02 How much is Viscount White granite per square metre in Australia?
Published Australian prices range from about $208 to $460 per m² plus GST, depending on finish and yard. Direct from us, Viscount White slab material is about $115–$250 per m² incl. GST.
03 Does Viscount White granite need sealing?
Yes. Viscount White absorbs more than dark granites (around 0.3–0.5%), so seal it at installation and every one to two years after, especially on kitchen benchtops.
04 Can I choose the exact Viscount White slabs?
Yes, and with Viscount White you should. We send numbered photos of every slab in the bundle so you can choose the pattern for your island and splashback before we ship.
05 How long does Viscount White granite take to arrive in Australia?
